禮尚往來

Small Talk:

According to newspaper reports, a township mayor distributed amulets to students through junior high school principals, claiming it was to bless them with success in their exams. However, the township mayor was preparing to run for county magistrate at the time, and this action drew widespread criticism.

According to "the Basic Education Act" and "the Civil Service Neutrality Act", this candidate's behavior is not permitted.

For a long time, some politicians in Taiwan have set extremely bad examples, especially during elections, repeatedly extending their political influence into schools. Although the Ministry of Education has repeatedly emphasized that school management must maintain strict neutrality, some unscrupulous candidates disregard the law for their own benefit, which is undoubtedly an insult to a democratic country under the rule of law.
